We are excited to welcome you to the HRM Spring Job Fair!

Please share this information with all staff attending the Job Fair.

Your Booth Package

All booths are 12' wide x 6' deep with 3' side walls, 8' back wall, pipe and drape. A skirted table and 2 chairs are included.

Power

Each booth will have access to power. Employers are responsible for bringing their own extension cords to reach the nearest power drop, which may or may not be located in your booth.

Cancellations/No Shows

Significant funds and resources from Nova Scotia Works make it possible to offer you a booth at no cost. If you are no longer actively hiring, or are not able to staff your booth, please advise us before April 7th.

Halifax Shopping Centre Annex, 7071 Chebucto Road, Halifax, NS

Parking

Free parking is available onsite, subject to availability.

Solicitation

Employers and their representatives, or any other participants, are not permitted to, directly or indirectly, market, offer, sell or otherwise furnish any products or services to Job Fair attendees. Solicitors of any kind will be asked to leave the job fair.

Top Tip

The Nova Scotia Works job fairs are very busy and breaks are not provided. A private rest area is open to your booth representatives all day. If you require assistance at your booth, please see an event staff member.

Industry Categories

  • Employers can register for a booth on the day that most closely matches their industry category.
  • You must be actively hiring to register for a booth.
  • Employers may register for one day only.

Set-Up and Tear Out

  • Set up begins at 9 am and ends at 10:30 am.
  • The floor opens at 11 am.
  • Tear out begins at 4 pm and ends at 5 pm.
  • The booth must be staffed at all times.
  • Early departure is not permitted.

Job Openings Promotion

  • A key part of the job seeker’s preparation is scanning your list of active openings and creating a networking plan.
  • Your company’s open job postings are to be submitted at the time of registration and may be amended anytime.
  • We publish the job titles only on the website.

Other Features

  • We provide a complimentary light lunch for up to 2 booth representatives, plus access to coffee, tea and water in a private rest area.
  • Breaks are not provided. You may have more than 2 reps in your booth to assist with the flow of job seekers.
  • Private interview spaces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at several convenient locations. 
  • Job seekers will have access to a copier service to print or copy their resume. 
  • Interpreters will be available for ASL, and French and Ukrainian speakers.
